JOB TITLE: Associated Students of Centralia College Senator For Student Relations and
Advocacy.
RESPONSIBLE TO: The Associated Students of Centralia College, The Associated
Students of Centralia College President, and the Director of Student Life and
Involvement Center.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Senator for Student Relations and Advocacy is a
member of the ASCC Student Government. This position's primary responsibility is to
ensure student governments visibility on campus and advocate for students and campus
diversity. Serve as a voting member of the ASCC Student Government.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create the visibility of student government on campus through facebook, twitter, and
instagram taking photos at events. Make sure the advertisement of meetings
This position must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, and
JPEG Image manipulation.
Serve as a member of the diversity committee and student policy council.
Ensure that other students appointed to diversity committee and student policy council
attend meetings. Keep ASCC Vice President up to date on student appointee attendance.
Attend the annual Students of Color Conference.
Assist the Student Engagement Specialist is recruiting students to join the Multicultural
Club.
Coordinate tabling activities at a minimum of six times a quarter.
Coordinate one community service project per quarter.
Coordinate the usage of the Blazer Bill mascot costume and promotion of Blazer Bill
throughout the campus.
Understand the Student Rights, Freedoms and Responsibilities in order to assist students
in interpreting and using the document.
Serve as the liaison international program and disability services. Meet with the coordinators of
each center once a quarter and report on events or issues to ASCC Student Government.
Research projects that the ASCC Student Government may be interested in implementing
that expand and improve services to students.

Assist other Student Government members with projects and promote a team
environment.
Assist when needed, in all aspects of Student Life.
Promote new initiatives decided upon by student government and the college
Other duties as related to student government.
