BCPS Junior Astronomer
“Astro-Art” Award
Requirements: To earn this award, the Junior Astronomer must perform the following tasks:
1. Choose a real object from space.
2. Create an original sculpture, model, painting, or diorama of the space object.
3. Use a computer or a space book to complete the “Space Object Fact Sheet” to describe your “Astro-Art”
project!
4. Bring your completed “Astro-Art” project to school and show it to your homeroom teacher and your art
teacher!
Astro-Art Awards:
Each Jr. Astronomer will receive the “Astro-Art” badge, a Hubble Space Telescope poster, and will be eligible
to have his / her project displayed to compete for more awards at the annual Elementary STEM Fair in May.
