KNOWLEDGE OF ALGEBRA, PATTERNS, AND FUNCTIONS FISHING TO LEARN GAME - MATH This game creates a fun way to learn, and it is inexpensive and easy to make. It is great to play at home with your child while helping to reinforce number and shape recognition. Materials Needed: 1 basket or bowl 1 small stick or pole 1 magnetic clip (can be purchased at a dollar store) 1 package of magnetic shapes or numbers Number of Players: Can be played alone or with others. Preparation: 1. Fill bowl or basket with magnetic shapes and numbers. 2. Place the magnet side up. 3. Tie a string to the stick or small pole. 4. Attach the magnetic clip to the other end of the string. How to Play: 1. Have your child hold the fishing pole over the bowl or basket, placing the magnetic clip on the shapes or numbers. 2. Have your child identify the object he or she has fished out of the bowl.
