Investigator
 Checks the inventory of all materials and equipment at
the start and finish of the period.
 Primary excavator of the site (does the digging)
 Cleans and tags all finds.
Reporter



Makes daily journal entries.
PROPERLY keeps detailed inventory list of all finds
(using the charts on the journal pages).
Creates a detailed site map showing the location and
relative size of all finds.
Researcher (This job is required ONLY for groups with 3 people. If
you have 2 people in your group, you WILL NOT have a researcher
on ANY day)
 Uses resources (textbook,etc.) to find information about
the time period your team is digging in.
 Creates a page for your portfolio featuring ONE of the
following categories:
o Animals which are found in that time period
o Plants which are found in that time period
o A description of the major evolutionary events that
occurred during that time period.
Note: In groups with 3 people, the final portfolio must contain ALL of the researchers pages
(each one done by a different researcher). Each page is worth 10 points.
NOTE: ALL group members are responsible for cleaning their area at the end of each class
period!!
