Rules for Grant Application:
Event must be sponsored by one or more recognized student club or organization.
Event must be open to the entire student body.
Event may not be a fundraiser and no fee may be charged for admission.
Date of event may not conflict with an event being sponsored by the Student Activities Office or
MAC.
It is expected that student groups eligible for student government funding seek an allocation from
the Student Government Association prior to submitting a grant application. In these cases, the
Student Activities Office can offer planning advice and additional financial and/or service
support when necessary.
Application must be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the planned event.
Upon submitting the application, the student(s) must schedule a meeting with the Director of
Student Activities to discuss the application.
Responsibilities of Sponsoring Group:
Sponsoring group agrees to work with the Student Activities Office to execute the event,
including work orders, contracts, payment of bills, etc.
Students may not sign contracts for any services required for the event. All proposed contracts
must be reviewed by the Student Activities Office and approved by the College Treasurer.
Organizers must abide by all Muhlenberg College policies.

Group must prepare an advertising plan and use a minimum of three types of advertising.
Event must be posted on the online Campus Calendar (contact Leanne Hill, x 3657).
Grant support must be noted on all advertising.
Detailed budget must be prepared prior to event and presented to the Student Activities Office.
Additional receipts must be turned in to Student Activities Office at the conclusion of the event.
Group will agree to help with room set-up prior to event and clean-up when program is over.
Event Evaluation Form must be completed at the conclusion of the event and submitted to the
Student Activities Office within one week of the event date.
Violations of the Grant Policy or misuse of funds will affect future grant applications.

Any contract and check requests that must be completed should be turned in to the Student
Life Office at least two weeks prior to your event.

weekend event. I understand that misuse of the space or failure to adhere to all
guidelines or instructions will impact my organizations ability to use the event
spaces for future event or subject the organization or group to possible
disciplinary actions.
