The City of Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is seeking motivated
individuals desiring a career in Public Safety. BHDPS is a fast paced, active,
community located in the southwest corner of the State of Michigan
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A High School diploma is required, preferably an
Associate’s Degree or higher in criminal justice or related field. The candidate must
possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as computer skills.
Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standard Certification preferred or eligible
for certification. The applicant must possess a valid State of Michigan Driver’s license.
Firefighter 1 and 2 are preferred but are not required.
