Richmond, VA Tshering Yudon ’13 - Life Pieces to Masterpieces: Through the use of art, LPM has identified effective, innovative, and replicable strategies that have resulted in a dramatic improvement of the early childhood and youth development experiences of young, underserved, African American males living in our nation’s capital. Program Dates: June 7 – August 6, 2013 (includes opening and closing conferences and the eight-week, full-time internship—participation in all components are mandatory). All returning Middlebury undergrads. * Apply via MOJO.* International students may apply without using OPT. Interview process. Up to five Midd students selected to participate. Funding: Each participant receives an initial stipend of $816 to help with food and commuter costs (estimated living allowance of $14/day—part of the experience) and a later stipend of $1500 awarded in two installments. Housing is provided. U.S. students may also qualify to receive an AmeriCorps education award of $1,175 that can be used toward the cost of your Middlebury (or other) education.
