Application Procedures:
Applications for the Mortensen Fellowship will require a 2-3 page proposal for a service project
to benefit the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management or the local
community.
The proposal should include:
-Applicant and faculty mentor information
-Project design
-Specific goals of the project
-Anticipated outcome of the project
-How the project will benefit the department and/or the local community
Applicants should contact any NREM faculty member to request their services as a mentor to
supervise the proposal development and the service project. Credit, agreed upon by the faculty
mentor and the applicant, may be earned in NREM 497/597 if desired.
