RESOLUTION DECLARING THE (Tribal Council) DESIRE TO BE A MEMBER
JURISDICTION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA, INTRASTATE MUTUAL AID
______________________________________________________________________
WHEREAS, emergencies and disasters transcend political jurisdictional boundaries;
and
WHEREAS, the timely commitment of available resources to emergencies and disasters
can save lives and protect property; and
WHEREAS, intergovernmental coordination and cooperation are essential for the
protection of lives and property during emergencies and disasters; and
WHEREAS, intergovernmental preparation for potential emergencies and disasters is
critical to effectively and efficiently respond to actual emergencies and disasters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the (Tribal Council) that there is a desire to
be a member jurisdiction of the Statewide Mutual Aid System, pursuant to Section 10-3906 (3), MCA. And that nothing contained herein prevents the (Tribal Council) from
entering into any other mutual aid system or agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be filed with the Montana
Disaster and Emergency Services Division in Helena.
