University Day March 3rd (Monday)
 We will be having an informational booth at University Day about the organization
again this semester. I have not received information about the time; I would
assume it will be from 9:00-12:00 like it was last time but I will let you all know for
sure. Thanks for those who have already signed up-if you are interested please let
me know.

We discussed different service opportunities that we could possibly do for the upcoming semester
below are the suggestions:
o Spring Cleaning-Clean out your closets and help those in need
 Family Promise

Provides emergency shelter to homeless families with children through a network of
faith organizations while providing intensive case management & other resources
o
Pencil Drive for Kids
 Basically it is a pencil drive for kids over in Honduras or Africa who cannot even
afford to buy pencils to help them with their educational needs. We would just need
to ship the pencils to South Carolina; there is a school there that will ship them all
together. There is also an option to help the schools in South Carolina as well.
However, if you want we can keep it local and try to find a school in the LISD that is
in need of pencils
