The Executive Vice-President of Research (EVPR) is responsible for the development
and implementation of a grants compliance program at TTUHSC. The grants compliance
component of the Research Integrity Office (RIO) has been established by the EVPR to
monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and TTUHSC policies related to
Sponsored Programs.
The PI and the Office of Sponsored Programs shall make available all records for review
or audit upon request of research compliance personnel. Routine compliance audits shall
be conducted as part of the monitoring process. Special audits may be also be conducted
at the request of the EVPR, the Senior Director of RIO, or the Senior Director of
Sponsored Programs in response to allegations that grant administration is not being
conducted in accordance with institutional, state, or federal requirements.
Following the audit, a written report of all findings and recommendations will be sent to
the PI, Senior Director of RIO, Senior Director of Sponsored Programs, and the EVPR.
The EVPR (as an Institutional Official) may require corrective action on any issues of
non-compliance.
