Date and Greeting in Letter Format
- Refer to your handout.
Introduction
- State title and author of your book.
- In one or two sentences, tell what the book is about,
including the setting and characters. DO NOT SUMMARIZE
THE ENTIRE BOOK.
Middle Paragraphs
- Choose three topics from your handout or the signposts to
write about in three separate paragraphs.
- You must have a topic sentence for each paragraph.
- Give examples and evidence from the text to support your
opinion. Include page numbers.
Closing Paragraph
- Wrap it up in one or two sentences. Give your final
thoughts or recommendation.
