November’s Academic Agenda
November’s Theme: Veteran’s Day,
Weather, The First Thanksgiving
Math: In math we are continuing our study with addition
and subtraction. We will soon be moving on to geometry.
Reading Workshop: We will be reading nonfiction books
about Veterans Day and the first Thanksgiving.
Writing Workshop: We will begin working on writing
letters. We will take those letter writing skills and write
letters to the Veterans.

Thanksgiving Feast: As a class we will
cook a friendship stew on November 22.
Each child will be asked to bring one item
for the stew. Look for a note to come
home. I will also be in need of about 5
parents to help serve the students.
