Our dedicated and knowledgeable faculty and staff collaborate with researchers and community leaders to develop and deliver programs that address needs of Missourians including: educational attainment; environmental concerns; community, economic, business and workforce development; global food systems; and health systems. This position will assist in the management and support of the 4-H Youth Development programs in the assigned area, under the guidance and supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist. This position exists to make sure local 4-H programming is maintained and expanded to new audiences. This position has most impact at the local/county level through work with local youth, volunteers, and community partners. The working title for this position will be 4-H Youth Development Program Assistant. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Plan and coordinate educational events, contests and programs in the county. Management of enrollment, volunteer management systems, records, trainings, resources and recognition events. Assist with collecting and recording fees, keeping financial records and preparing reports as directed by the supervisor. Work with clerical support staff to accomplish office tasks. Manage 4-H recordkeeping including working with 4-H enrollment systems and databases. Assist with 4-H marketing including preparation of reports, newsletters, news releases and correspondence. Participate in professional development training including skills appropriate for the position. Conduct all activities in accordance with the Civil Rights Acts, Title IX, Rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act and local, state and region affirmative action plans. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED Must be able to travel using own transportation and willing to work some evenings and weekends. Computer skills using databases and Microsoft Office.
