African Water Facility - AWF
Background

The recommendation to establish the AWF was made at
the Accra Stakeholders Conference organized by the
African Water Task Force in April 2002.
Goals

The main goal of the AWF is to contribute to poverty
reduction through improved access to water and
sanitation within the context of the AWV and the MDGs
and based on the principles of IWRM.
Targets

The Facility targets to contribute to the MDG
achievement in Africa
