Questions and Answers #2
District Electronic Security Bid 86639
Item #9. Vendor shall perform programming at the direction of the District, within the confines of the ACAMS and CCTV
Systems. Can you please provide details on what types of programming (i.e.…door configurations, card holder database,
etc.), and/or provide some historical information on the amount of time spent on a yearly basis to perform needed
programming?
RESPONSE: Programming can include initial schedules, Door configuration, Card Command set-up, Card Command linking,
reader naming, camera naming, camera configuration, etc. We have no historic data on time spent on programming by
professional service providers. The time spent has historically been rolled in with all of the time spent by the PSA provider.
Item #10. Vendor will assist and provide professional programming services and software changes as required when
associated with the AMAG access control and video surveillance components that comprise the system. Can you provide
details on professional programming services, and/or provide some historical information on the amount of time spent on a
yearly basis to perform needed programming?
RESPONSE: As part of the PSA the District expects the provider to oversee any upgrades, patches, or changes made to both
the ACAMS and video systems. If programming services are required to insure that the systems continue to operate
properly then the District will expect that programming to be covered by the PSA. We have no historic data on time spent
on programming by professional service providers. The time spent has historically been rolled in with all of the time spent
by the PSA provider.
Item #11. Vendor will provide professional consultation and advice services in matters associated with the ACAMS and
CCTV Systems components and programming. Can you provide details on professional consultation and advice services,
and/or provide some historical information on the amount of time spent on a yearly basis to perform needed programming?
RESPONSE: The District is always looking at new technologies. This includes cameras, mounting systems, door hardware,
card readers, Etc. As part of the PSA the District would expect to be able to turn to the Vendor for advice and
recommendations having to do with adding any of these technologies to our current systems.
When was the last full functional test of the system?
RESPONSE: In truth the District has never performed a full functional test. This is due to two facts:
1.
2.
The District is made up of three separate colleges. Each with its own regional system.
The ACAMS and Cameras are added as either separate projects or as part of separate projects.
Would you be willing to share what the District’s standards are for programming as stated in Page 10 under Vendor
Performance, Item # 2?
