ABSTRACT Fifteen selected cassava varieties of TME 98/0510, 01/1371, 01/0093, 01/0131, 00/0038, 98/0505, TMS 419, 01/0085, 98/0581, 95/0211, 00/0388, 92/0326, TMS 693, 30572 and 01/1368 were evaluated against a root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita. This study shows that all varieties screened were highly susceptible to the root-knot nematode. Data were collected and subjected to analysis of variance and means were separated. The research concludes that the use of resistant varieties is the best option for farmers against root-knot nematode in cassava farming.
