efficient and successful event for our students and
community.
We continue to provide workshops both in classrooms and in
the Career Center on all employment-related topics. We will
have a series of workshops during the fair to assist students
with resumes, interviewing, and job search. We have

Other Accomplishments:
Don't Cancel That Class (a collaboration between Counseling, Career Services, and Work Experience) provided outreach to SCC
students when their Professor was scheduled to be absent due to school business. This program was very successful. During the
Fall semester we made contact with about 650 students in about 15 hours. 10 Professors took advantage of this service. We
covered 18 class sections.

Justification
Career Center traffic has risen with the move to the Counseling
office. Additional help is needed to meet the increased demand for
Career Center resources.
We would like to provide students with a complete collection of
books that address career options for every major. Certain
reference books are dated and need to be updated every year.
The annual California Career Development Conference is the most
important staff development function for Career Center staff. The
Conference provides networking, exposure to new Career Planning
resources, and workshops on a variety of Career-related topics.
Key Performance Indictors for
