for Los Rios campuses.

information re matriculation process.
Assisted high school seniors in the follow-up
components of matriculation.
Hired, trained, and orientated Student Ambassadors and
Clerk III.

Visited 16 high schools and 3 community agenciescontacted over 3, 000 students.
Visited and signed up over 1,400 students for the
S.C.C. SAC program.
Completed over 2, 000 S.C.C. Applications.
Met with and communicated, almost daily, with the
New A & R Supervisor concerning problems with
Applications. The problems were resolved
immediately. Thanks Kim!
Scheduled over 150 students from 12 high schools for
on-site New Student Orientation.
Unable to document the number of students who
followed through on the online orientation option.
However, over 35 high school seniors completed the
online orientation in the A.S. office.
Delivered completed S.C.C., ARC, CRC, Folsom Lake,
and El Dorado Center Applications to A & R staffs.
Referred a total of 200 students to ARC, CRC, Folsom
Lake, and El Dorado Center campuses.
Contacted over 2,000 students advised them about
EOP&S, Summer Bridge, New Student Orientation,
FAFSA, CalGrant, the B.O.G.G., Counseling, etc.
Hired, trained, and orientated 6 Student Ambassadors,
and Clerk III.

Connection
Advertised the Annual “All City College University
Day” for October 19, 2002! Provided 5, 000 “Free”
bus passes to 12 high schools students for the All City
College/University Day. (Worked with Marian
Sheppard, Transfer Center.)
Advertised, once again, annual S.C.C. Career Day in
area high schools.

Recruited students to attend annual Leadership conference
at Cosumnes River College. Unable to determine number
of participants.
Over 85 high school counselors attended the All City
Counselors’ Connection on December 6, 2002
Conducted over forty individual and group campus tours at
the All City College/University Day. The attendance was
great-and was the largest group since we began this event.
Over 30 high school staff attended the career day and C.K.
McClatchy staff and students videotaped interviews with
the employer representatives.
Met with ESP Advisory Council (2 meetings) and provided
assistance as required to over 22 ESP alumni.
Attended college/university graduations and weddings for
ESP alumni. Also, attended lunches, Bar BQ outings and
church activities with ESP alumni.
Represented S.C.C. at three high school Career Days.
Goal 2:
Provided assistance to over 100 continuing studentsFinancial Aid, B.O.G.G., EOP&S, and referrals to S.C.C.
Counselors, Financial Aid, EOP&S, etc.
Assisted over 25 re-entry students, assisted w/application.
Escorted Students to Re-entry Services, Counseling,
Financial Aid, EOP&S, Tutorial Services, and Learning
Resource Center.

Campus Visitation/Tour Program not mentioned in the new
S.C.C. publications “Students Obtaining Success.”
Conducted 10 tours during “non-peak” periods. Including
tour for EOP&S Summer Bridge students.
Clerk III is still in training and learning job duties and
responsibilities.
Attended Cultural Awareness Events w/students, African
Student Alliance meetings and Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Conducted 45 Campus Tours for High schools, Jr. High
schools, and Community Agencies (2).
Over 2, 000 letters sent to high school seniors in 16 high
schools.
Over 300 calls returned to high school seniors & parents re
orientation, registration, EOP&S, Board of Governors
Grant (B.O.G.G.) and Financial Aid and counseling
appointments.
Provided continued assistance to over 100 students during
the school year made referrals to counselors, instructors,
and programs such as EOP&S, financial aid and Tutorial
assistance.
Committee hired permanent Clerk III. She began work on
February 25, 2002.
Over 200 students recruited by the A.S., as well as ESP
alumni, dropped into the office for assistance.
District classes conflicted with A.S. schedule. However,
the Clerk III completed one class in Access 2000.
Delivered S.C.C. materials to 16 high schools (in my
vehicle).

Justification
Increase tours from 7 months to 12 months a year.
Need cellular telephone (to call S.C.C. for information).
Telephones are not always available at the high schools.
Business cards are currently being paid for out of the A.S.
budget allocations.
Attendance at appropriate Conferences are important to the
A.S. responsibility in recruiting high school students.
