At the fair, students can pursue the careers that their education has prepared them for. The current workload of the fair interrupts the Career Center SPA from regular duties. Seasonal student help for the fair for four months would provide coverage and ensure that service is not interrupted. Staff development is vital for several reasons. It allows us to update our training, stay current with the trends and practices in other community colleges, and to learn about beneficial community resources to offer our students as referrals. Additionally, it provides us with an excellent opportunity to advertise our services. This increase in funds would allow us to continue to pursue our goal of expanding the resources available to students. Reference material is critical to career research.
