Here is a list of the Kindergarten Sight Words as well as the Exposure Words. Students
must be able to read and write the sight words by the end of kindergarten. These are the
words they will be assessed on. The Exposure Words are words they should be aware of
because we use them so and see them so frequently. Students have been exposed to most
of the Sight Words as well as many of the Exposure Words. Once students have a good
grasp on the Sight Words (reading and writing) then begin working on the Exposure
Words. The easier all these words are for them, the better.
