Conferment of a Visiting Title Terms and Conditions 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. You are required to observe the Charter, Statutes and Ordinances of the University. You will be responsible to the Head of Department of the department in which the title has been conferred. You are also required to keep confidential any information disclosed to you in association with this appointment which the University deems, or is required to keep, confidential for the duration of the appointment and a further 5 years. In the absence of any other written agreement with the University of Sheffield which governs work you undertake within the University, any intellectual property arising substantively from your activities carried out in association with this appointment will be the property of the University. If you believe that there is patentable intellectual property arising out of your University work you are asked to disclose this to the University using the Commercial Assessment Service as soon as possible and certainly before any publication. In accordance with the University's Policy for the Conferment of Visiting Titles, the use of this title is personal to you. You shall not by virtue of this agreement or by virtue of your holding a Visiting title be an employee of the University of Sheffield. The awarded title may be used for the period as specified in the confirmation letter. The award of this title carries no remuneration from the University. Agreed by the University Council June 2005
