Grantor Attendee Policy
1.
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU SOM) allows representatives of a
commercial interest to attend live certified activities, except for patient related conferences,
providing they comply with ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, AMA Ethical Gifts to
Physicians and OIG Guidance.
2. Complementary representative attendance at the live activity cannot be a condition for
providing commercial support. Attendance at the activity is not tied to any promotional or
exhibiting opportunity.
3. Grantor representatives are invited to listen to the proceedings of the activity for their personal
educational information, but may not interject comments or questions during the educational
activity.
4. No discussion of promotion or off-label uses may be conducted by grantor representatives
within the CME activity.
5. If a representative wants to attend a conference and receive credit, he/she must pay a
registration fee.
