"Annotated Bibliography:Search the Internet for relevant resources related to
""Leadership and Technology in Schools"" Develop an annotated bibliography
of sites, texts, listservs and other resources found. A minimum of 15 resources
must be annotated. (The annotation must by your own, describing and evaluating
the site for Alberta school leaders). This will be posted as a website for others to
access/use. Can be combined with final report/paper.Here is a link that explains
how to prepare an annotated
bibliography:http://www.library.cornell.edu/olinuris/ref/research/skill28.htmYou
might view the class of Fall 2005’s annotated bibliography link above. As
well, here's a link showing how to cite online resources (proper APA
style).http://www.apastyle.org/elecref.html"
"Discussion Group ContributionsOriginal Contribution is due earlier to allow
others to respond.Using the course discussion board, create an introduction to a
topic/issue that is related to your interest in Leadership and Technology
(approximately 300-500 words). Submit this to the class Discussion web site [10
points]. Reply to 2 other issues (approximately a screen display) [5 points each].
Be sure to include appropriate references (minimum of three Internet links
should be provided to support EACH of your contributions). If you are building
on something you have read, either on the web (include the URL) or in some
form of print medium you should include the appropriate reference. It should be
possible for someone interested in your comments to locate the article or
source. It is expected that your contributions are well thought out and well
written with references indicated. The topic should be of sufficient depth (ie not
just your personal 'unsupported' opinion) You may create your own sub-topic at
any level.Marking system: basically criterion referenced. If you meet all of the
criteria listed above you receive 9 points for the new topic submission and 4
points for each of the two reply submissions. For all three submissions, one
additional point will be assigned for work that is judged to be
exemplary.SUBMISSION:Cut and paste each contribution (3 in total) into the
body of one email message and email to me on November 21. Do NOT email on
October 30."
"E-Mail Contributions:6 required contributions based on course readings. (5
marks each). Identified in particular modules. Each contribution should
correspond to a word-processed report of between 1 and 2 pages.The summary
should contain a very brief (1 sentence) summary of the main point of the
module readings. This should then be supported with a number of subsidiary
points and examples taken from the readings and/or your personal experience. It
should contain your personal reaction to the materials, indicating where you
agree, and disagree with the authors. In each case support your statement with an
example or a reason. It is suggested that you compose your response using a
word processor (save this file!) and then copy & paste into the body of the email
message for submission.Marking system: basically criterion referenced. If you
meet all of the criteria listed above you receive 4 points for each email
submission. For all submissions, one additional point will be assigned for work
that is judged to be exemplary."
