• To formally relinquish (give up) power.

• Distribution of power in which no single
nation is able to dominate or interfere with
others.

The middle class; the upper level of the
Third Estate; wealthier city-dwellers such
as lawyers, doctors and merchants

• an international conference that was called in
order to remake Europe after the downfall of
Napoleon I. Many territorial decisions had to be
made in the conference that was held in Vienna,
Austria, from September 1814 to June 1815.
