The General Academic Skills Proficiency Examination (GASPE) is an instrument to measure student achievement among rising juniors in the five banks of general education at Rowan and, ultimately, colleges and universities elsewhere as well. Now in its 20th year of research and development at Rowan / Glassboro, the instrument is once again scheduled for two rounds of pilot testing in 2008. The team would welcome assistance in Spring 08 to finalize and evaluate current versions of the instrument, as well as assistance in administering and assessing the large-scale pilot planned for Fall 08. Faculty and administrators overseeing juniors or rising juniors in any College are especially needed.
