SPONSOR RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENT: APEE UNDERGRADUATE POSTER COMPETITION The Associate for Private Enterprise Education is proud to each year provide undergraduates with a forum within which to present their research on the role of free markets in a prosperous society. In addition to receiving valuable comments on their work, the competition provides undergraduates with recognition for their efforts and serves to encourage them as young scholars. For APEE to continue providing this forum it is crucial that undergraduate participants behave responsibly, legally, and safely during the conference. Undergraduates attending APEE are by and large responsible and mature individuals. However, even a small number of exceptions is unacceptable and threatens the continuation of the poster competition. APEE does not condone harmful behavior on the part of undergraduates and such harmful behavior reflects badly on APEE. In sponsoring an undergraduate participant you are vouching for them as a responsible and mature individual. (This includes the fact that they are at least 21 years of age, as is required to register for the conference.) APEE expects that you will take this into account when deciding whether or not to sponsor a particular student. Furthermore, having sponsored a student APEE expects that you will play an active role in monitoring their conduct during the conference. Playing an active role necessarily involves registering for and attending the conference. In signing below you acknowledge the above concerns; you agree to register for and attend the conference, and to take additional steps to ensure that your sponsored student’s behavior during the APEE conference is appropriate.
