MSE H194 Honors Undergraduate Research (1-4 units)
Enrolling instructions:
 Pick up a course enrollment approval form from the MSE Department Office, 210 Hearst Mining Building (HMMB) or
pirnt out the form, fill it out and get the MSE faculty sponor signature and turn the form into the MSE Department Office.
 Attach an unofficial copy of your transcript to the Course Enrollment Approval Form so that the advisor can verify your
GPA (a minimum gpa of 3.3 is required for higher upper division technical courses).
 Once approved and signed by the Department Chair, a course control number will be sent to you.

Regulations for H194 Honors Undergraduate Research.
Course may be repeated for credit. Prerequisites: 3.3 or higher upper division Technical GPA and consent of
instructor and advisor. Final Report required. Students who have completed a satisfactory number of advanced
courses may pursue original research under the direction of one of the members of the staff. A maximum of 3 units of
MSE H194 may be used to fulfill technical elective requirement in the MSE.
