Each notebook entry includes the source article, or enough of it to clarify your remarks: "The Cycles of Change" Radio Show with your host K. David Katzmire Thursdays: 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific Call in to speak with the host (347) 884-9593 BlogTalkRadio.com/cycles Discussions on where we were, where we are and where we are going in changing world of universal rhythms. ~ This Week's Guest: Monty Taylor - March 14, 2013 at 8pm Eastern ~ Monty Taylor, Jungian Astrologer & Mythologist, takes us on an adventure of the Inner Voyage where astrology and the wisdom of mythology meet the perspectives of legendary psychologist Carl Jung to show us that our current lives are unfolding according to our own perspectives of (what we think of as) actual reality. In short, it is the search to find the answers within ourselves. Monty brings more than 40 years of applied practice to the art of understanding the psychological applications of astrological influences on individuals, companies, countries, and cultures. “Metaphysics is really just Quantum Physics, poetically expressed.” The Arts are the doorway to Higher Consciousness. The way our lives mirror our understanding of how we are actualizing our authentic sense of self is the key to charting the course of discovering our own magnificence. To use the statistical cycles of time in a meaningful and practical way, can help us better understand the normal stages of personal and collective evolution of our relationships, finances, career goals, and self-understanding. Called ”the Joseph Campbell of Astrology“, he lectures regularly in the tri-state area, including the United Nations SR Council, Quest Bookstore, and the Eyes of Learning and The Center of Inner Wisdom in Hicksville, New York. He is a member of the New York chapter of the National Council of Geocosmic Research, where he also appears as speaker on different aspects of using metaphysical tools in a relevant way in business and personal areas of life. 1 Every notebook entry must have these three parts: 1. Citation 2. Abstract 3. Skeptical responses (each in its own paragraph!) 1) Katzmire, K. David. “Cycles Newsletter.”Kalarhythms.com <http://kalarhythms.org/monty-taylor-jungian-astrologer-and-mythologistnewsletter-march-21-2013/>. 2) For the week of March 14, 2013, Katzmire is touting his guest, Monty Taylor, a “Jungian Astrologer & Mythologist.” Katzmire claims that Taylor will be taking listeners, “on an adventure of the Inner Voyage” and will show us that “our current lives are unfolding according to our own perspectives of (what we think of as ) actual reality.” 3): First, the language itself is padded and obscure. Does Katzmire have to say that our current lives are unfolding? I don’t have another life that is unfolding. He goes on to say our lives unfold, “according to our perspective of what (we think of as) actual reality.” How does a life unfold according to a perspective? This is babble that can mean anything; hence it means nothing. The language takes us further and further from understanding and it does this by avoiding precise statements. Here is a little more of his word salad: The way our lives mirror our understanding of how we are actualizing our authentic sense of self is the key to charting the course of discovering our own magnificence. 2 Can you find the grammatical subject of that sentence? Hint--it’s the first 17 words. I love the mirrors and magnificence! This resembles the pretend English in Alice in Wonderland— All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe— but it’s less clear than the Wonderland language. Secondly, I wonder just who this Monty is? According to the article, Monty has “more than 40 years of applied practice to (sic) the art of understanding the psychological applications of astrological influences.” In lieu of credentials Monty has “applied practice.” This practice is in the art of understanding…astrological influences. That means his skills are not based on science, and that means they are untested for effectiveness or veracity. Finally, I wonder where Monty has “worked.” This matters. If universities are inviting him, or if he edits a peer-reviewed journal, or teaches something of substance, we want to know that. Well, he lectures at Quest Bookstore, and at the Eyes of learning (?). He’s been to Hicksville. The article claims that he lectures regularly at the United Nations SR Council, which is interesting because there is no SR Council at the United Nations. I searched the Lexisnexis newspaper index for any reference to it or to Monty Taylor and his Jungian astrology: nil. You can’t make this stuff up. Actually, you can (parody like the following bit is optional). PARODY: Tomorrow night, Max Wrakett will share the wisdom of his BiCircularity Enigma on the Change Your Mind And Your Clothes (CYMAYC) radio show. Max has 40 plus years in the art of understanding self adaptive harmonic reconciliations. Thousands of listeners tune in each week to CYMAYC podcasts to learn the wondrous secrets of reconciliation via the Bi-Circularity Enigma. As Max so often says, “In reconciliation, we draw close to the sources of all life that make up the sphere where quantum entities become all that and more, in essence our true selves, which emerge from the false sense of identity that is in the grip of this world’s robotic systems that misunderstand and cause misunderstanding.” Podcast graduates paying a twenty-five dollar processing fee are certified as quantum reconcilers who have graduated from our course: Omni-Understanding of Radiant Ballistic Synergies. Our log appears on each numbered, embossed certificate signed by me, the President of OURBS. I wonder what life is like for Monty’s followers. It must be sad. 3
