Details of Proposed Activity
Summary:
Describe in detail what this project will do. Include nature and design of the research, implementation and
evaluation activities.
Your proposal should outline the context and relevance of the research. It should explain why the approach
demonstrates scientific excellence and rigour. It should describe how the team will function, including an
assessment of how the team will overcome disciplinary boundaries. It should outline the impact the work
will generate or enable. It must develop a case that it will unlock significant future work – and describe how
this will be supported or funded going forward, and how it will collaborate with stakeholders beyond the
university.

Effective Use of Resources is an important criterion: please justify your request for resources. Include
rationale for staff time and equipment requests. Describe why DEUS is best placed to fund this work rather

Proposals. Clearly outline any matched funding provided from both internal and external sources.

Give details of what the activity will achieve. Please list and number all project deliverables and indicate the
team member(s) responsible (see example table below). These deliverables will form part of the offer letter
and you will be expected to report progress against them.
