SU is attending every student council they think is important.
Want feedback on questions for the SU over the next 3 years

1. What do you think the student union does?
 Run mac Hall
 Advocate for students
 Provide funding to clubs
 Provide various programs ex: wellness center
 Represent each of the faculties
 Provide events for the student experience and stress relieving events.
- 2. What are the Su Strengths
 Transparency of what they are doing
 Create political experience in and outside of the school
 Serving the students.
- 3. What are the SU weaknesses/ what needs improvement
 More advertising for the den
 More continuation of years between the execs
 Stronger acts for BSD
 More theme nights at the den.
 Strengthening the relationship with the admin.
 Having reps more known throughout the faculties.
- 4. Which of your own personal values are reflected by the SU as an organization/ what do
you think the SU should embody?
- 5. What are the most important issues and challenges that you think the students will face
and how should they respond to this?
 Residence fees. Response: have more people involved in the process.
 Market modifiers. Response: advocating for students.
 State of the economy leading to troubles finding jobs after or resources to pay for
school. Response: give students information on how to get scholarships/ jobs.
Students Union VP Student Life Report:
- SU survey is still out; guides what the Union funds. Found on the SU website
- Cinemania is at the den. Movie is 33
- TA nominations are ongoing. Encourage people to nominate Profs and TA.
- Mental health champions is a funding pool for students that advocate ideas to help with
mental health.
- Wellness is able to prescribe fentanyl over dose.
- NCHA survey is still available. It is what the wellness center uses to guide how they help
with mental health
- Gym orientations being held by active living. Feb 19 1-2 march 11 and April 1. Women
only ones Feb 19. See SU for more times.
