Dog Toy
Description: A simple and easy dog toy made from a tennis ball and nylon rope. Dogs love them!
Goals:
1. Learn how to make a homemade dog toy.
Objectives:
1. Learn basic principles of safely using an electric drill and bits.
2. Learn how to use different size bits to make different size holes.
3. Learn how to make a square knot.
4. Learn how to melt nylon cord to prevent fraying.
Materials:
 3 feet piece of nylon cord
 Tennis ball
 Electric drill & bit to fit cord
Procedure:
1. Drill a hole on each side of a tennis ball large enough to fit the cord.
2. Run the cord through the tennis ball. Hold the two ends together to place the ball in the center of the
cord.
3. Tie a square knot close to the ball.
4. Burn the ends of the cord to prevent fraying.
5. Tie another square knot at the end of the rope.
6. Toy is completed.
