Dr. Grundlingh-Scott's autobiography: I was born in Pretoria, South Africa,15th September 1956. I was left totally blind after a nurse administered an injection with an accidental overdose of a drug called, ephedrine; this was at the age of 14. I had to further my education at a special school for the blind. Being a little rebel, I attended a college of alternative medicine called: The Lynla College, Johannesburg where I obtained a BSc degree in physiotherapy (physical therapy). I also attended two schools in Europe; the Kantonsspital in Zurich Switzerland and the Unikliniek Munchen west-Germany where I studied balneology, electrotherapy and spa management for a semester at each university which served as my post graduate studies. Acupuncture took me six years to study in Johannesburg, South Africa and I've also visited China and a couple of the surrounding countries such as Hong Kong, Tieland, Singapore etc. I received my doctorate in 1994. I've had the pleasure of working on many, many well known people such as three presidents in South Africa, many of the cabinet ministers, the president of Israel, various consulates and many wellknown sports figures.
