Natural Resources Specialist I Purpose Purpose: Responsible for reviewing and evaluating Public Water Systems(PWS)or Utilities and Districts (UD)inventory data for the TCEQ. Essential Functions Function 1: Responsible for reviewing requests for PWS or UD inventory affiliation data changes submitted by various entities to determine accuracy of data. Documents decisions and prepares notes, reports and correspondence to memorialize data determinations. 20 % Time Function 2: Prepares appropriate documents meeting TCEQ standards to summarize the results. Adheres to TCEQ paper and eletronic file management requirements. 20 % Time Function 3: Provides technical assistance to city and county officials; water system owners, operators, engineers, and lawyers; agency staff; other governmental entities; and any other individuals seeking registration of a public water supply or seeking to modify data related to a public water supply registration. 20 % Time Function 4: Follows all applicable TCEQ standard operating procedures. Assists in reviewing and streamlining existing TCEQ business procedures. Assists in developing and implementing new procedures. Ensures that business procedures maintain compliance with all TCEQ rules or policies. 10 % Time Function 5: Reviews client inventory facility data changes submitted through Comprehensive Compliance Investigation (CCI) reports, field reports from staff that produce field reports, and other sources. Ensures the correct relationally of facility data is captured correctly in WUD and the Safe Drinking Water Act (and its amendments) data to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. 20 % Time Function 6: Attends training as appropriate to supplement familiarity with programmatic requirements as directed by TCEQ Project Manager and UT Arlington. 10 % Time Function 7: % Time Function 8: % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, environmental quality management, public utilities, business administration, or related field.
