Student Development Specialist I Purpose Purpose: Implement active and passive programming to support undergraduate student learning and success and support marketing and communications related to specific programming for University College Programs and University College as a whole. Essential Functions Function 1: Oversee the Maverick Resources Hotline and related programs, including response to phone and email inquiries, updates to the Maverick Resources Guides and Maverick Resources website and advertising for the program. 35 % Time Function 2: Create and distribute freshman-focused communications and advertising materials for programs such as the University College Success Series, Student Veterans Workshops, Peer Academic Leader recruitment, and other University College programs and events. 20 % Time Function 3: Produce, edit, and host videos, marketing materials, educational modules, and online resources for all departments within University College. 15 % Time Function 4: Assist in the maintenance of the University College website and subdomains. 10 % Time Function 5: Create and maintain materials and schedules for Success U and oversee the advertising for the program. 5 % Time Function 6: Work with the UTA Marketing Communications Office to update and distribute departmental and college-wide brochures and marketing materials. 5 % Time Function 7: Assist in the creation of University College-branded presentation materials, newsletters, web and paper-based communications. 5 % Time Function 8: Assist with the promotion of effective technology usage to aid in improving the communication between the college and other key constituents (students, parents, staff and faculty). 5 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, communications, media design or human behavior/relations disciplines. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
