FUNCTION: Key position in the Libraries' Admin Office, oversees physical facilities,
procurement & accounting. Liaison with vendors & all campus depts. Resp for the Lib
M&O budget, contracts, inventory, & annual budget. Provides support to Dean & Assoc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with physical plant on remodels, building
projects, repairs, maintenance; inspections; Coordinates projects with Library Program
Areas, users, and contractors; manages projects, start to finish. Procurement: prepares
RTP's, creates request for proposals, accounting (monitoring M&O expends), contracts,
maintenance agreements; Supervision of Accounting Group(4 fulltime staff), incl.
payment of invoices, statement of accounts, vendor files, etc. Serves as integral member
of the Library Management Team on long range Strategic Planning, as well as
communicates about projects, remodels, physical plant problems, staff concerns about
facilities, resp. for monthly reports & annual report. Coordinates the movement of staff
offices (due to remodels), user furniture needs, library shelving; Inventory control and
surplus activities; Responsible for scheduling Libraries' 6th floor Parlor for events.
Supervises Mail Services operations which has a staff of one fulltime and 2-3 students;
Responsible for the upkeep & maintenance of the Libraries' vehicle.
MARGINAL/INCIDENTAL FUNCTIONS: Arranges for various catering events in the
Library; Contact person for Library security issues, EH&S, Police Dept., CAM, Key
Shop, Purchasing, Telecommunications, Central Receiving, HUB Program, & Campus
Printing. Other related functions as assigned.

INTERNAL CONTROL: Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system
of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective
and efficient, department assets are safeguarded, department financial information is reliable, and
the department complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS : Exposure to standard office conditions; use of manual
dexterity; climbing of stairs; climbing of ladders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent administrative
experience; five years of accounting and administrative experience; one year of
supervisory experience; creation and experience with spread sheets; demonstrated
interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills; demonstrated ability to work
collegially and flexibly; ability to examine, organize, and analyze data. (Equivalent
combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.)
Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License.
