Manager, Technical Operations Purpose Purpose: Operate, maintain, and repair all equipment in UTA radio station, cable channel and TV studio. Coordinate programming for these entities. Essential Functions Function 1: Manage cable station; assist with management of UTA radio station and TV studio. Supervise technical operations of broadcast facilities. Set technical standards; ensure adherence to procedures and policies. 50 % Time Function 2: Maintain and repair equipment; ensure integrity of all equipment and long term planning for all equipment needs; assist in acquisition of equipment; coordinate the technical and engineering activities; perform technological research. 50 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 60 completed credit hours of coursework in a field related to broadcast/engineering. 6 years of experience in broadcast engineering or related field. 2 years of supervisory experience. Ability to design routing systems and audio/video production and post-production systems. Advanced knowledge of electronic equipment, tools, materials, techniques, and practices involved in the technical operations of a broadcast facility. Experience with college and professional media. Extensive knowledge of analog and digital signals.
