ADVISING 2015-2016
Which courses are best for first year students?
“Four courses and PE or PE Dance!” ~ Martin Warner, Registrar
Introductory level courses are usually numbered 001-010 (section 20, College
Bulletin)
First Year Seminars are labeled FYS
Students who wish to take math/stat or chemistry must have taken a placement test
or have registered their scores from AP or IB exams to be placed.
Remember: there are many great courses to be found in unexpected places (example:
writing courses; interdisciplinary programs; courses for non-engineers in engineering,
etc.)
