All scan sheets should be filled in with pencil. The scanner cannot read ink.
The scanner is very sensitive to erasures.
Format of file produced by data entry scanning process: text file with data in this format will be emailed
to client when data entry is requested on scanning submittal sheet. Enter a name for the corresponding
text file in the comments section of the scanning submittal form presented with the scan sheets that are
to be processed as a unit.

For data, the character stored is one of the digits '1' to '9' or the digit '0' (To get zero, mark response
number 10).
In the biographical and response areas, a blank is stored if no response was marked and an asterisk (*) is
stored if two or more responses were marked. The serial number field of the header indicates the order in
which the sheets were scanned.
