The position deals with all mid-level managers with student billing and related responsibilities, and external agencies, including but not limited to consultants, auditors, and collection agencies. Reports To: The Director reports to the Vice President of Finance and Administration. Responsibilities: 1. Direct and maintain all student billing functions, including minimum payment policy compliance, monthly interest processing, 3rd party billings, financial aid posting, monthly statements, semester billing, and bad debt collection. Knowledge of student room and board operations and processing related to student billing. Analyze existing systems with a view toward increasing efficiency and effectiveness. 2. Direct, maintain, and supervise preparatory music program billing and collection. 3. Assist in maintenance of University accounting system, including posting of student billing transactions to general ledger and reconciliation of accounts receivable ledgers to general ledger. Assist with other financial functions, including but not limited to interdepartmental (development, payroll, copy center, etc.) transactions, journal entries, budget journal entries, etc. 4. Train and supervise graduate program cashier. 5. Prepare reports and materials on University student billing operations for the Vice President of Finance and Administration. 6. Participate in University programs geared toward new student billing and payment policy orientation. 7. Participate as representative of the Vice President of Finance and Administration to midlevel operations meetings at which Business Office input is required. 8. Carry out other responsibilities as delegated or assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Administration or Asst. Vice President of Finance.
