4-H Absentee Static Exhibit Showman
Application for Sioux County Youth Fair
Excusing a member from personally exhibiting his or her projects defeats one of the important
objectives of 4-H work. For that reason, the Sioux County 4-H Committee does not approve the
use of absentee showmen except in extreme cases.
An absentee showman is allowed only in the case of illness, injury, the involvement of a 4-H'er
in another Fair activity with a non-flexible schedule, or a family crisis or emergency.
