Beth Davenport
Education: BS in Elementary / Special Education from
Northwest Missouri State University
Career: Special Education Teacher for 5 years at Adair/ Casey,
14 years at Nodaway Valley Community Schools, 2 years
Substitute Teacher
4-H Involvement: Co Leader of Summit Super Stars 4-H Club,
Adair County Extension Council Representative
Favorite Part of 4-H: My favorite part of 4-H is seeing the kids
grow through their experiences at the county and state fair
levels.
Life Skills Gained: I have gained lots of patience, caring for and giving to kids throughout the
area. I have gained a better understanding for what some of these kids go through to gain their
success. I realize now what my parents went through when I was in 4-H with all my projects.
Volunteering as an Adult: I volunteer at Adair / Casey school, Adair Lion’s Club, Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, Co Leader of Summit Super Stars, Adair County Extension Council
Representative
Advice to 4-H’ers: Set high goals for yourself and don’t be afraid to try new projects. Never be
satisfied with what you have done and be willing to go that extra mile to help others.
