Spring 2008


Good nutrition is a necessity for maintaining
healthy minds and bodies. Elementary school
students need to learn the importance of
healthy choices when it comes to the foods they
consume. If educated now, it will ensure for a
healthier and more productive adulthood.
Our group developed a useful tool along with
a hands on lesson that focuses on nutrition. We
also distributed healthy snacks for 75
elementary students during the Benchmark
exams on April 16th.



We broadened each elementary student’s
knowledge about nutrition while providing a
fun and proficient learning experience through
an interactive Food Pyramid poster.
We assisted the classroom teacher by providing
an instructional power point about nutrition,
and we provided snacks for benchmark testing.
We improved and developed needed soft
skills, and we strived to become a well
rounded professional.
