Day 1, Fly to Deer Lake, pick up rental cars, purchase groceries and repack for trip. Day
2 Pick up late arrivals if needed, drive to Gros Morne NP, attend NP Prehike briefing,
pick up BC Permit and dayhike to Tablelands, Camp overnight. Day 3-5 Hike North rim
Traverse. Day 6 Drive to Port Au Choix, see National Historic Site, drive to L'Anse Aux
Meadows, camp overnight. Day 7 Drive to Port Au Choix, Day hike along coast, drive
to Gros Morne NP, camp overnight. Day 8 Dayhike to Gros Morne Summit, Camp
overnight. Day 9 leave for Deer Lake by noon, fly home.
Motels first night of trip, wilderness camping four nights and car camping remainder.
All backpacking meals provided. Front Country meals combination of group cooked and
resturant. Leaders will have all meals with group

3 night 4 day backpack on North Rim Traverse. This is a trailless backpack with
navigation by map & compass through tundra and tuckamoor. Added hazards of getting
lost, trips, remote area.

Both leaders have M&C experience and there will be a backup GPS unit available.
Daily mileage (5-7 mile) will allow group to move carefully in areas with uneven
footing.
