Arrive to Seville, meet guide and have welcome dinner. Next day transfer to Zahara de
la Sierra for half day warm up hike and olive oil tasting. Next 3 nights are spent in
Grazalema National Park in small, rural family runner hiker´s hotel. 3 day hikes in this
park. After transfer to near Ronda where there is a full day hike and a rest day in Ronda
town. From Ronda go to Granada region for 2 days of hiking in the Sierra Nevada
National Park, staying in a rural white village, Guejar de la Sierra. The tour finishes with
a guided walking day in Granada city and a visit to the Alhambra Palace. Final night in
Granada city center.

A private, licensed coach will do the long haul journeys and 2 x local bus (village to
village) services will be used to return the group to the hotel.

The participants must be able to demonstrate that they can hike in the mountains. A
guideline for hiking abilities will be supplied with the prospectus so participants can rate
themselves. Leader/coleader will follow up with AMC local chapter contacts to see if
participants will be a good fit for this trip. Phone calls will be used if uncertain about

The local guide and outfitter are from this region of Spain and have 15 years
experience guiding and initiating programs in the 2 National Parks we are hiking
in. They will be providing the group with up to date conservation efforts and
showing us examples of work currently being done. Additionally, we will have
opportunities to contribute to local eco-tourism efforts such as olive oil tasting,
craft shops, cheese producers, visiting small local museums and more throughout
this journey.

and expeditions . This program starts with ´on location´ first aid procedures followed by
´evacuation´ planning that involves accessing nearest medical support and finally, ´care
facility´ listing such as hospital or surgery nearest the locations of the tour / expedition.
This is all contained in one document that is carried by all leaders for easy access.

and navigational points can be used in the event of emergency response reporting. Two
way radios are available and will be brought by the local outfitter so the front and back
of the walking/hiking group can be in touch.
In this region of Spain, helicopter evacuation from the Guardia Civil (mountain patrol),
is likely - pending availability at the time. Paramedic ambulances are stationed (if not
being used), at nearly all remote villages in this region now.
AREA I - GRAZALEMA: These are relatively remote trails but never more than a 1
hour walk from a major road. If helicopter is unavailable, transporting a patient on foot
may be necessary.
AREA II - GRANADA SIERRA NEVADA: Conditions of evacuation are identical to
above.

will be sent to the participants. Please note: The price of this Adventure travel trip is
given in good faith based on current tariffs and rates and is subject to change. Any
tariff/rate increases will be passed on to participants.
