Fly into Marrakech, explore the city. Outfitter will take us around as well as on the trek
to climb Toubkal (13,670’), explore fossils on summit.
Take trip to Atlantic seashore for 2 days, then on cultural tour to Fes, and to Casablanca
Hotel in Marrakech, Essaouira, Casablanca and Fes– campsites on trek. All handled by
reputable outfitter, known to fellow leader Pete Faunholz
Breakfast while staying in hotels and all meals while on the trek are included in budget –
lunches and dinners will be paid for by participants and leaders when sightseeing.
We will rely on our Outfitter ‘Morocco Tour & Trek’ for all transports from the airport
and back, as well as all our days in Morocco

Hiking in the White Mountains and possibly an overnight trip
We will be experiencing Berber culture both in the city as well as in the countryside;
on the summit in exploration, and the valley of the High Atlas region. Observing the
different cultures in the High Atlas, and the cities we will be visiting, some with expert
guides.

It is a distant, foreign country, and neither of us speaks the native language. We feel
very confident with the outfitter and their experience as well as their safety record.

B) In case of needing further attention, but still not of greatest urgency, the patient can be
taken to the general hospital in Azilal, which is between 1.5 and 2 hrs. away by road
transport.
C) In certain rare cases such as snake bite or burns, the Azilal hospital may refer the
patient to a specialized unit in Casablanca. Insurance companies have the details of

A) After immediate first aid, the insurance company should be called immediately to
arrange helicopter evacuation
B) Once this is done, the guide should then telephone the relevant Moroccan authorities
to alert the police and air traffic
C) The leader should phone MTT /client agency
D) The insurance company should be referred to at each point, and they have contacts
with the helicopter companies, 3 of which are based in Marrakech. The patient will be
taken either to Marrakech or Casablanca depending on the situation.
Please note that the Moroccan guide cannot authorize any evacuation, helicopter or
mule/road until the insurance has authorized the plan and MTT/client agency has been
informed. Search and rescue, Medcor, and our leader's EMS WFA. Group will be
together at all times.

The AMC cancellation policy is based on the simple precept that your cancellation

and future expenses which can not be avoided. You may forfeit the amount budgeted
for your lodging, car rental and trip overhead, which is most of the trip fee. If you

exception that, after airline tickets have been purchased, you own the tickets and that
part of the fee cannot be refunded.
