ottages are provided by Cinnamon Bay National Park Campground. Prices are advertised
as double occupany. Triple occupany available upon request.
Two group dinners and two evening socials with appetizers and drinks are included in
the trip budget. Included are funds for leader suppers on arrival day when because of
varying flight arrival times and time to set up in camp it is impractical to have a group
meal. The leaders will assist the participants with their meal arrangements on that day.
Participants are on their own for all other meals. The T’ree Lizard Restaurant and a
small camp store are at the Campground. There will be opportunities for shopping in
markets in Cruz Bay and evening trips to the many excellent restaurants. Typically
participants prepare their own breakfast and a trail lunch in camp. Leaders will also meet
for dinner separately from the group one night mid-week to assess trip and adjust
itinerary as needed based on group dynamics and weather.
Depending on availability, we will be renting a combination of jeeps and 10-person

better able to enjoy the snorkeling. Swimming skills are important as most participants
will spend much of the time in the water. Snorkeling experience is helpful, but this skill
is easily learned by experienced swimmers. All participants to be called and screened
carefully to determine fitness for the trip. Doctor's note will be requested if deemed
necessary.

A significant activity will be snorkeling and observing and learning about the
many kinds of fish, coral, and other creatures that inhabit the reefs. Local
interpretive Ranger walks, campground presentations, local festivals and events,
talks and slide shows will be included. These provide education about the
history and culture of St. John. Tentative plans include an optional one-half day
for a service project.
