Summary
Please provide a description of the trip and the activities planned. If available, please include or attach an itinerary.
From El Paso, TX, continue on to the rugged beauty of the Southeast New Mexico mountains, Guadalupe National Park and Carlsbad Caverns. We will see desert flowers, rocky peaks, sheer cliffs and rugged canyons. The Guadalupe Mountains are an oasis in the desert. We will be climbing the highest peak in Texas, 8,749’ Guadalupe Peak. We will also pay a visit to nearby Carlsbad Caverns, considered by most who see them to be the most beautiful of all caverns. Late afternoons can be spent relaxing at our motel, visiting historic sites in the nearby mountain towns and enjoying southwestern foods at area restaurants. Fly to and from El Paso, TX. Stay in motels. Rent cars to travel.
Group dinners included in price.
Staying in hotels with shared twin accommodation with ensuite bathroom, telephones, cable TV, and AC. Trip Advisor was utilized to identify quality accomodations.

Intermediate hiking skills required of all participants. Health conditions will dictate what level participant will be allowed to hike. Must be a group player.
Careful screening: application response, phone calls, chapter feedback, recent excursions, list of hikes done in past 2 years. Participants will need to be up front and accurate with all health conditions and medications. Participant must be a group player, if not they will put the group's safety in jeopardy, and this would not be acceptable.

Non-refundable airline tickets for the leaders will have to be purchased in advance, but not until it is clear that the trip will go (The cost of refundable tickets is prohibitive).
Other reservations do not require deposits or are refundable on short notice.

Cancellation policy
What will be your cancellation policy for the participants?
Cancellation by an accepted participant will not be allowed to raise the cost to the other participants or to the leaders. Published minimum penalty: $200 after the trip is declared a go. If actual costs are higher, they will be included in the assessment. We reserve the right to reduce cancellation penalties if costs incurred can be passed to a replacement participant.
