Form Revised September 2015 Participants will depart USA on June 24, 2017 and arrive in Innsbruck, Austria on June 25, 2017. We will then transfer to hotel in Neustift Austria by private shuttle. We will be doing day hikes in the Stubai valley and where possible utilizing ski lifts to gain elevation. We will spend one night in a moutain hut (Sulzenau hutte) that has no road access. We will not check out of the Hotel Bellevue for the hutte stay since some participants may wish to stay at the hotel and not do the overnight at the hutte. 3 star hotel (Hotel Bellevue) in double occupancy rooms and one mountain hut (Sulzenauhutte) The Hotel Bellevue will provide a full buffet breakfast and 2 menu choices for the 4 course dinners. One of our hosts is a chef par excellence. Lunches are not provided, but can be obtained at the alpine huts or participants can buy food from local stores in Neustift. Hotel will give us a credit for meals not eaten by persons who will be staying overnight at the hutte. Transportation will be organized by trip leadersd utilizing both local buses and taxi to access trail heads and private shuttle to/from Innsbruck airport Will leaders be drivers? Education on Austrian flowers, animals, trees, on altitude and acclimatization procedures, hiking safety in the Alps and "alpine guide's hiking pace". The main recreation will be hiking, Tyrolean Folk music and dancing. Optional sightseeing in Innsbruck. Leaders will supply sample itinerary/sightseeing info. One of the hosts is also a mountaineering guide and gives an excellent overview and history of the area and his historic family (Hofer). No special equipment will be needed. Health conditions will dictate what level participant will be allowed to hike. Must be a group player and not an individualist. A aarticipants will need to be up front and accurate with all health conditions and medications. Participant must be a group player, if not he/she will put the groups safety in jeopardy and this would not be acceptable. Hotel Bellevue has guaranteed their quote for 2017 since we have stayed there several times in the past there is no deposit required. Hotel stay includes a STUBAI CARD for free usage of local buses and lifts/cable cars. Charter company also does not require a deposit as we are repeat customers and I have allowed for inflation on their quote. Due to volatility of the euro, I am using $1.35/Euro for the budget and an 8% contingency rate. None n/a $1000 with application. balance due by Jan 1st, 2017 If you cancel after being accepted for the trip, $100 is non-refundable. But if you cancel after Feb 1st, 2017, minimally $200 is nonrefundable; if (and only if) another person takes your place. We will establish a waiting list. Should another person replace you, you will be charged only the $200 cancellation fee. However, your cancellation shall not raise the cost of the trip to any of the participants or trip leaders. Thus if you cancel and are not replaced, you will forfeit the $200 plus the per capita expenses already incurred and any other unpaid expenses for which the trip cannot obtain a refund.
