Form Revised February 2014 Camping in cottages at Cinnamon Bay Campground in the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John. Daily trips to explore the island will include swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and learning about the history, flora, and fauna. Cottages are provided by Cinnamon Bay National Park Campground. Prices are advertised as double occupany. Triple occupany available upon request. Three group meals are included in the trip budget. Also included are funds for leader suppers on arrival day when because of varying flight arrival times and time to set up in camp it is impractical to have a group meal. The leaders will assist the participants with their meal arrangements on that day. Participants are on their own for all other meals. The T’ree Lizard Restaurant and a small camp store are at the Campground. There will be opportunities for shopping in markets in Cruz Bay and evening trips to the many excellent restaurants. We will be renting 10-person jitney vehicles from Delbert Hill and/or Cool Breeze Rentals for group use on St. John. These will be primarily driven by the trip leaders and participants experienced with roads on St. John. Participant volunteer backup drivers will be carefully screened and instructed on driving in St. John. For transport to and from the airport we will use the standard commercial transport available at the airport. Will leaders be drivers? Will volunteer participants be drivers? Swimming skills are important as most participants will spend much of the time in the water. Snorkeling experience is helpful, but this skill is easily learned by experienced swimmers.
